It’s easy for people to say that they really understand,
They give you a big hug and hold on to your hand,
But deep down in side them, they never no what to say,
Whether to try to understand or just to walk away..........

It doesn’t matter how you feel, you always feel alone, always have fears,
But you have one comfort, to share and keep hold of your dreams
It s the diary, it’s the diary of your tears.

You never know what’s coming next, you never know how to react, shouting, screaming
Or peaceful silence at last
You’re hoping and praying or writing down what you feel,
You’re being brave, and positive, but you still know that.......

It doesn’t matter how you feel, you always feel alone, always have fears,
But you have one comfort, to share and keep hold of your dreams
It's the diary, it’s the diary of your tears.

It helps you along, when times and matters get tough,
When bombing starts, when sirens raw, when houses are covered in dust,
Will it ever get better, will the tears ever stop,
The pages will run out, you don’t know what to do……..

It doesn’t matter how you feel, you always feel alone, always have fears,
But you have one comfort, to share and keep hold of your dreams
It's the diary, it’s the diary of your tears.

Alexandra won the Love Lyrics competition and had her lyrics performed by dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip at the Get it Loud in Libraries tour in Skelmersdale.

Here is Alexandra's response to winning the competition:

" I love writing, imaging and expressing my self through words and imagination, so one day, I got home from school and just decided to go onto the Spinebreakers website and write some lyrics! I picked the Anne Frank book because I felt it has a stronger meaning and had a wider range of points to write about. I love it! Just writing what you want, when you want. I just wrote the lyrics and sent them in.
I never thought they would win!

When I got the email, I was surprised but so excited! Especially when I heard they were being performed by dan le sac vs scroobius pip!  I had 11 tickets, so with me I took, Jess, Sammi, Shannen, Beth, my Dad, my Brother and 2 English teachers from my school; Miss Markham and Mrs Heaton.
It was the National Year of Reading in libraries. This is where there was a concert with dan and pip and a girl called George Pringle who both performed.

Their first songs were really good and when he called my name and sang my lyrics it was really good. Everyone was smiling and clapping, it was such a great feeling but embarrassing at the same time! After the concert I met dan and pip. They were really nice, genuine people. I got their autographs and a bag of goodies and loads of pictures! Also a video!
It was an amazing experience and a fantastic achievement! Thanks to dan and pip for choosing my lyrics!
Thanks to everyone! "
