The search for the Queen of Teen is on! Girls are being asked to nominate their favourite female author so make sure your favourite is nominated as a rightful contender…

This is what it says on the Queen of Teen website at www.queenofteen.co.uk:
For the first time ever, here is your chance to nominate your favourite female author and see her crowned Queen of Teen!
Simply write 200 words on why you believe your favourite author should be crowned. Does she make you cry? Or does she make you cry with laughter? Do you love the characters she creates? Or the stories she tells? Or both? Does she take you to different worlds? Or perhaps she makes you understand your own world better… we’ll accept any reason and we want to hear them all.
Most excitingly your nomination will automatically enter you in to a competition to win a place at the super-glamorous coronation ceremony on Thursday 18th September 2008. Ten lucky winners will get the chance to spend time in a limousine with the author they have championed and to see the winning author crowned at the ceremony.
Nominations close on 10 July, so make sure you nominate your favourite before then at www.queenofteen.co.uk
