Spinebreakers has teamed up with the BFI Southbank to host an event with Melvin Burgess as part of the half-term week of events themed around book-to-screen adaptations called Visualise.

For your chance to meet and interview top teen author, Melvin Burgess and win a signed copy of his new book Nicholas Dane, all you have to do is submit the five questions you would like to ask Melvin Burgess.

Melvin Burgess, author of Doing It, Sara's Face and Junk will be attending a special event at the BFI Film Theatre on London’s South Bank on Saturday 5th June to talk about his new novel Nicholas Dane.

One lucky winner will receive tickets to the event, a copy of Nicholas Dane, and a unique opportunity to go backstage to meet Melvin. He’ll answer questions, give you some ideas for your own writing and of course, sign your copy of Nicholas Dane.
Three runners up will each receive a copy of Nicholas Dane.

To enter, all you have to do is submit five questions you would like to ask Melvin. They can be anything from ideas on developing a story idea or character or tips on becoming a published author.
Time is of the essence. Entries need to be submitted by 12 noon on Friday 28 May and remember to enter you must be free to attend the special event on 5 June in London.
You must be aged 13-18 to enter.
Entries must be a WORD (.doc) file format and attached to the online entry form below. Please include in your WORD document:

- Date of birth,
- Contact telephone number (so that we can contact you quickly if you are a winner.)
