Underage Festival 2009
BRINGING YOUR STORIES TO LIFE
One tent plus one massive canvas plus 10,000 teenagers equals Spinebreakers at the Underage Festival!
This summer, we gave the thousands of teens the challenge of writing a short story inspired by themes such as LOVE/HATE, PEACE/WAR and TRUTH/LIES. A group of artists then took those stories and added them to a massive canvas, creating live story-based pieces of art throughout the day.
The tent was constantly buzzing, with some teens lounging on Penguin deck-chairs while their story was brought to life, taking a breather from the musical delights on offer.
Here's what we got up to:
The tent
The people
The coolest
The artists
The artwork
The story
The pride!
