FOREVER NEVER SLEEP
By Paul
My eyes are closed,
My mind displays our antiquity.
So I close my mind,
Only to feel a cryptic iniquity.
Still my eyes remain closed,
And I hold my head in frustration.
I sigh out loud,
And tap my foot in hesitation to speak…
I know what to say…
But your reaction will make me feel too weak…
And so my eyes remain closed,
But now my mind starts to wonder.
I close my mind,
Queue the clouds and the thunder and grief…
I open my eyes, slowly but brief…
The thoughts in my mind,
Leave me hurt and confused beyond belief.
I try and keep my eyes open…
But my heart mind and body are screaming…
For sleep…
So my eyes remain closed…
My mind remains beefed,
This situation remains old.
And I remain feeling like and idiot…
And you remain oblivious…
So my eyes remain closed.
