First Kiss

By Anonymous

The overgrown grass tickles my bare ankles,

Running through the yard.

Fireflies zoom round and round,

Aglow against the indigo sky.

You chase me, brown eyes lit with laughter,

Falling down onto the cool ground.

In seconds, your by my side.

Your warm hands over mine.

The August heat is as inescapable as your steady gaze,

Our eyes meet and I can hardly breathe,

And then it happens, were together like never before.

You taste like peaches, and I just can't get enough.

I know without asking that it's your first kiss,

And 'll keep it a secret, but it's mine too.
