I won't be the girl to always hold your hand
And I won't be the girl who runs with you in the sand.

I won't be the girl to squeeze you tight
And I won't be the girl to hold you all through the night.

I won't be the girl who is never running late
And I won't be the girl who won’t ask for a second date.

I won't be the girl to sing you a lullaby
And I won't be the girl who wipes your tears when you cry.

I won't be the girl who laughs at your jokes that aren't funny
And I won't be the girl who calls you sweetheart and hunny.

I won't be the girl who kisses you in the pouring rain
And I won't be the girl who battles your demons and fights your pain.

I won't be the girl who makes all your dreams come true
And I won't be the girl who never lies to you.

I won’t be the girl who is your best friend
And I won’t be the girl who promises forever until the end.

I won’t be the girl who you can count on all the time
And I won’t be the girl who will give you everything even my last dime.

I won’t be the girl who will always play fair
And I won’t be the girl who loves to mess up your hair.

I won’t be the girl who will get the last flight thousands of miles to see you
And I won’t be the girl who will do anything for you.

I won't be the girl who shines light into your world
And I won’t be the girl who will always catch you when you fall.

I won't be the girl you think you need and adore...

I will just simply be the girl, who loves you and is every thing more,
Because I will be…

The girl you thought you would never find,
Yet somehow after you stopped searching and here I am.

I will be the girl who will treasure every moment in your presence,
Knowing it will soon be lost in passing time.

I will be the girl who pays for the longest phones calls we make,
Because there is no price I wouldn’t pay to hear your voice when you’re not near.

I will be the girl you once thought I wasn’t good enough
But somehow you see the person underneath the smile and know that I will be the girl who will say…

"Holding your face in my hands and telling you everything will be fine, would be lying to you. So I'll just kiss your lips and say 'I love you' because underneath those three words is the promise to make you happy, to love you and protect you, and for as long as I'm here, I will do more than my best too."
