Just a Different Name

By Connor Mepham

I used to think the world of you,
But now I know that world was poo
I thought you were different
But I was oblivions
You are just the same
Just a different name

I used to think you were a star
But off the point, was I far
You could have been the one
But it’s all but done
You are just the same
Just a different name

I used to think you were my life
But you were just trouble and strife
I thought you were there
But you never cared
You are just the same
Just a different name

I used to think you cherished my heart
But you just tore it apart
I would have gave you my all
But I was just a fool
You are just the same
Just a different name

I used to think of you all the time
But you just ruined my mind
You just played me along
But why for so long?
You are just the same
Just a different name
