Once in my life something went right,
I was blissfully happy,
I wished for it to stay with all my might.

My friends thought it was great,
They even congratulated me,
For finding someone more that a mate.

The times we talked I was over the moon,
I was glowing,
How was I to know it would end so soon?

The feelings I felt are not gone,
They are here for you and no-one else,
I can’t move on.

Have you moved on?
I’ve not,
I’m still getting over you being gone.

When something goes right you hang on to it,
Don’t let go it could disappear,
But time heals everything bit by bit.
