Wide Awake but Sound Asleep

By Maybelle Law  / Spinebreakers Crew

darling the days are coming,
when dark is not all you see,
the flowers will turn to gaze at you,
and your heart will thaw eventually.

heaven only knows why you hide,
when the world is open for your open mind,
and they all cry when they see you,
because they can’t believe their eyes.

so open your broken browns,
because it’s the last chance to feel again,
and your voice carries no sound,
but you don’t need it to hurt them.

what a day for feeling alive,
because the beauty will trespass your sight,
and I swear to god you’re what I’m living for,
so close those eyes tight.
