 Matthew's Poem

By Matthew Richardson  / Spinebreakers Crew

Dizzy Raptures

Forget the frilled and fancy cards,

The slushy tripe that gushes out;

There’s just one thing I need to say,

One thing I know beyond a doubt.

I’ve ached for months, my painful joy,

Have longed to shout it out, unfurl

Just like the films, the rain-washed end,

To let them know that you’re my girl.

So here it goes (just please don’t laugh),

There is one thing I have to do;

I have to finally stand and say

Three simple words: I love you.
