Hey, long time, no write!
I’m still not understanding Twitter, although one of my new friends, Todd, is a Twitter fanatic and tells me that he will help me figure it out in time for next month, so fingers crossed!
The lucky dip this month resulted in an interesting series of events – The task was to… go sky diving. Let me tell you, you just haven’t suffered vertigo if it isn’t from 4000 meters. I swear, I felt like my heart was going to explode in my throat when I was on the edge. Of course, it was amazing when I actually did it, but before it, I actually thought I may suffer a stroke. Because I was a first timer , I had a professional jump with me, just in case I forgot to deploy my parachute, or whatever. I’m not quite sure how it happened but once we landed, Tina and Alice came over and started asking about it and somehow from there it led to them talking to the parachute guy (turns out his name is Callum) and then to them setting me up on a date with him. So now I have to go on a date with Callum the Parachute guy next week (not only that, but the date is paint-balling. I’ve seen what happens when you go paint –balling; you get bruises that stay there for weeks. Weeks! Like actual gun wounds – except only skin deep).
On the plus side, people have been responding to me better at school now, once they got past the fact that I was actually making the effort to talk to them. I’ve made tones of new friends and have even been invited to parties. Me! Of course, I said I could only go if Tina and Alice went too, and everyone has been fine with that condition so far. It’s been great fun and I’ve found that I’m enjoying school even more than before (yes, I’m one of the few people who likes school. I’ll admit it, I’m a geek).
I’ve also volunteered at the local charity shop, so I’m helping raise awareness and working there when I can. It’s been really great, actually, because I feel like I’m actually doing something to benefit others with my new year’s resolution when I work there, not only myself.
Well, I have to get going now, but I’ll update you soon! Hopefully next month’s lucky dip will be of the good variety and not something truly embarrassing (I know it’s only a matter of time)!
Till next month
Molly ;)
