Jordan's Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Review
By Jordan Rossi / Spinebreakers Crew
‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ is about a young girl, Alice, who instinctively travels down a rabbit hole and ends up in a wonderland. The novel was thoroughly enjoyable because of the way Lewis Carroll (Rev. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) uses the naivety of a young girl to humour the reader while telling the story.
The book is very gripping as well because of the way that there is no actual plot to the story when it is rather just a bunch of random events strung together by Alice wandering around a new fictional world.
It was also very interesting to see all of the drug references in the book such as the caterpillar smoking a hookah and the title of chapter one “Down the Rabbit Hole”. As a teen we are always being warned against drugs but a book meant for children openly references them.
In conclusion the book is enjoyable and a very easy read for those of you who have some spare time on your hands.
