The plot is briliant...
By Melissa Gibbons
A fast-paced, skin crawling tale of identity and romance, Being is one of those books you just can’t put down.
Multi-award winning author Kevin Brooks has you deeply entrenched in the life of Robert, a 16 year old who goes for a routine hospital appointment and makes a shocking discovery.
Throughout the novel you find yourself asking repeated questions about Robert, analysing every word and sentence trying to uncover the mystery that is Robert himself. You might even find yourself making it personal, questioning your own identity. It makes your mind do over time and at times you feel as crazy as the main character.
The plot is also brilliant but if you’re not a blood, guts and scalpel fan, you’ll cringe; I sure did.
