Right now, Tom is leading one of the biggest US punk bands The Mr T. but it wasn’t always like that. Tom Henderson (a.k.a King Dork) is particularly like all other American High School loser until he discovers (the Catcher in The Rye) the book he hated so much, changed his life. At school, he was funny and shy and didn’t know how to cope with normal people. He was forced to read the book, which he found really useless.

Tom wasn't just some high school loser, but someone who was struggling to live within his society. There were sentences that made me laugh out loud for about five minutes when I read this part where he said: "my mom has a laugh like a car alarm. And her friend Ms Teneb has a laugh like a long scream." I found it really funny and positive. So if you haven’t read this book, I suggest you do before the King Dork knocks at your door.
