A four year old is shaken awake in the middle of the night by a hooded figure. He is quickly gagged to stop him from screaming.
His name was Jamie. He started to sob uncontrollably before being kicked in the shin. Immediatly he shut up, and closed his eyes. Maybe it was all just a dream? Jamie opened his eyes a few minutes later to see the hooded man standing over him menacingly.
"Goodbye" he sneered and hit him over the head fiercly, until all he could do was close his eyes and slip into blissful unconciousness.

Ten years later, a boy named Cale sits on a windowsill at the Sanctuary, looking out at the Redeemers, and at the steel gates, wondering if he will ever see the outside world.
