Brilliant, Intriguing, Fearful

The book is a brilliant mix of horror, fear and confusion. The author leaves nothing to chance making the plot irresistibly juicy. The general idea that a personas fear could be turned against them makes anybody feel a chill down their spine.
I loved The Devouring even if I couldn’t tell if the main character was a boy or a girl.
My word for the book is trepidation.
