Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox

Eoin Colfer

Eoin Colfer is truly an author to be extolled.

By Jacob  Long / Spinebreakers Crew

Eoin Colfer is truly an author to be extolled. His famed, (and rightfully so!), award winning series Artemis Fowl, is a certain ‘read before you die’.

This being its sixth book, the back-story is convoluted and is not a book you can read straight away. Sadly the beginning is weak and the cliff-hanger from the last book is scantily used and leaves a feeling of displeasure. Yet halfway through, the usual style that Eoin Colfer usually uses kicks in, and a swift sense of contentment waves through.

The new book brings back old characters, and gives a better history to the existing ones. The ending is somewhat lame, and you get the feeling of, ‘Oh god, not again’. Yet because its Artemis Fowl, you just forgive it.

The book explores the typical unfeasible tales which, be honest, are just brilliant! Pass through the first few chapters and The Time Paradox, is a book you just cant put down.
