Black Rabbit Summer
Pete Boland was busy doing nothing that summer. Long, stiflingly hot, lazy days stretched ahead of him. Then she called.
'Listen, Pete . . . you know that funfair, up at the recreation ground . . . I thought we could all meet up . . . You know, for old times' sake.'
But, where there are old times, there are old tensions. And as secrets, bitterness and jealousies resurface, five old friends are plunged into the worst night of their lives . . .
Teenage readers will find it impossible to tear themselves away from this dark, tense and gripping new novel from award-winning Kevin Brooks.
Sara Houston was the winner of the Black Rabbit Summer Lyrics Competition, her song was recorded by the up-and-coming Indie band Ivyrise

" good book. like it. love it. cool."
Laurissa:
"I really enjoyed the book, every chapter I found myself wanting to read on. I really wish there would have been a better ending though, I think it ruined the book, and we should've found out what happened to Raymond.
I think the book shows problems such as drugs really well, with the drugs taking their effect on Pete, it felt like I was him. The book was so well described; it felt like I was really there. "
Flossy:
"I feel that the book was good overall, but that the way it built up to what had could have happened to Stella and Raymond it was a slight anti- climax. It seemed as if the writer could not think of anything to write.
It was very well written though."
Becky (:
"I enjoyed reading this book a lot, I really felt like I was part of the story. The mix of emotions it gave was outstanding, but I would have loved to have found out what happened to Raymond, he was my favourite character.
