Higson’s done it again
By Olivia Scott-Berry / Spinebreakers Crew
If like me, you were eagerly awaiting the last instalment of Young James Bond’s epic adventure, you won’t be disappointed by this thrillingly electrifying novel.
In the aftermath of James Bond’s last perilous mission, all the young Etonian is thinking about is going back to the monotony of school life. But, as James is will soon find out, his life is going to be anything but dreary over the next few months...
Despite a slow start, the pace soon picks up, making for an intense time bomb of a book, which won’t stop ticking till the very end. By Royal Command is an almost flawless creation; its only defect is that it’s the last chapter of a truly brilliant and imaginative work of fiction. Even if you’ve never read any of original James Bond’s, the Young Bond books will keep you reading, down to every last full stop.
Higson’s done it again; this is a whopper of a book which will have you slavering for more.
