What it’s all about?

The story itself creates a deep and natural blend of love, hatred and peace to the reader, a novel showing human nature in it’s full. The sheer scale of this story brings happiness and tears to any reader’s eyes, the remarkable insight to the young girl’s thoughts and innocence providing a wonderful read for all ages.
As the plot deepens, it describes the experiences Dawn faces as her Father’s past life of crime catches up with her. It shows her struggle with the loss of love, the fight to be understood, and her Father’s past actions haunting her childhood.
After recovering from being a substance abuser, and a one-time child molester, Dawn’s father converts to Christiananity, and leaves Dawn and her Mother to survive on there own, with £200,000, stashed under the bed. Dawn and her Mother never asked questions, but always suspected something was wrong after finding a lone gun stashed with the money. Dawn is left to look after herself as her Mother turns to drink due to her Fathers disappearance.
As Dawn’s struggle to be accepted into the reality of teenage life seems tough, the character shows a personality that was before, covered. The book creates a hidden depth of emotion, and follows the journey of Dawn’s childhood as she cares for her parents. As the characters experience this, a life is to be lost, new love found, and old wounds re-opened…
