Lock and Key is an amazing story

I had never heard of Sarah Dessen before I read Lock & Key, so I didn’t know what to expect. When I did start reading, I discovered it was a very good story, and it made me want to read more by this author. It is a very recommendable book as the story sounds so true that you fall in love with the characters; Sarah Dessen makes you feel like you really know them.
This book tells the tale of 17 year old Ruby Cooper who has been abandoned by her mother, and must now live with her older sister, Cora and her husband Jamie who enrol her into private school. Having an unsettled past, Ruby is scared she won’t fit in. Then there’s Nate, the good guy, however he has a problem of his own – his father. Together Nate & Ruby confide and support each other in their own unique way.
This story is about finding yourself, caring for others and more importantly - family. Reading it, you find yourself drawn into the story, experiencing everyone’s emotions. Lock & Key brings sadness, joy, laughter and more. It is an amazing story!
