Charlotte's Review for Losing Gemma

Losing Gemma by Katy Gardner, is an edge of the seat recall of friendship, love and adventure. Right the way through the story, the reader is led down many dead-ended paths, in an attempt to answer – what happens to Gemma? By doing this, the reader is kept guessing and therefore kept engaged throughout the whole book. This plays an essential part, as when the reader follows the final path, they are finally led to believe an intricate plot is occurring, with Coral and Zak as the main suspects. However, when the story ends, the truth unfolds and the reader realises they couldn’t be more wrong.
