Pulling at heartstrings

This book really pulled at my heartstrings and showed the brutal reality of the devastation Africa was going through at this current time.
The author had me absolutely hooked and I could not set the book down! I had tearful moments, joyful, angry and sad moments.
Overall found the book a brilliant read but I think the ending was a bit of a disappointment because I wanted to know more about Ruby, what happened to her mother, her father, her partner and her life afterwards.
I'd recommend this book to a lot of people as people of all age ranges would enjoy it.
