Rumours Party Report

At the ridiculously early time of one thirty, Miss Molly Drummond arrived at the Bell Ahern residence to prepare for the coming afternoon’s entertainment. It would be a relatively small party as some of those invited were, to their great chasm-like regret, engaged. Beverages and food, (commonly referred to as ‘nibbles’), were placed in a pleasing arrangement on the dining room table, including a milk chocolate replica of one of the famous pyramids at Giza. After Miss Drummond’s arrival came Miss Chee Man who would form the whole of the intimate party, along with Miss Kathryn Bell, one of the hostesses and owner of the household.
We gave up the posh talk pretty quickly and turned instead to the book we were actually there for. We had mixed opinions about Rumours, we compared favourite characters and all had a go at Penelope. Before we got too carried away we took it as a good time to assign characters using the paper fortune-teller. The first to pick was Molly with her rather dashing moustache to represent Buck.
