Don’t Believe Everything You See in Magazines

“WAGS World: Playing the Game,” is a fantastic reality/ romantic novel, with a hint of mystery that keeps the reader hooked. It has all the elements to make you take the position of the existing characters. It uses lots of emotional language which puts you in the shoes of Amy in such a way that you feel the hurt and betrayal she is feeling. It shows the real bitchyness in the world of WAGS, and the competition between them. It shows the way in which gossip can ruin people’s lives even when you know you shouldn’t believe it.
It gives you a clear view that not all premier league players are cheating scum, but are considerable, and loving too, and it shows that most affairs are made up so that people can get into the public eye, and perhaps have a shot at being with that footballer.
There were parts in the middle were the storyline just seemed to drag on a bit, but even then it kept me hooked, as there was great troubles such as Amy thinks Damian is having a affair, Amy lost her necklace from Damian which represents his heart, and Amy moved out. This keeps you guessing in a mysterious way about could Paige be the one who took the necklace, because she wanted Damian, as she is known as a boyfriend stealer.
The way the mystery of the necklace unravelled left me shocked, but at the same time made me think maybe there’s more to this necklace drama, and Paige, and maybe Paige isn’t innocent this time, as the story was left on a hook so you would need to read the next book to find out what happens.
All in all this novel was one of the best novels I have ever read. It shows the reality behind a footballer’s life, and the struggles they have to live through, but they still try their best. Yes some footballers are complete cheating jerks in this case “Scott White,” but most of them are considerate, and try to stay out of the public eye, so they can be with the one they love without any interferences in this case “Damian,” and “Danny Harris.”
I feel this novel sends a very important message out, which is don’t believe everything you see in magazines, and the papers, because you will find most of it is just gossip made up to get into the public eye. No matter what happens stand by your man, because if you do you will come out on top, and you always know who you’re true friends are.
I would recommend this novel to lots more teenage girls, and perhaps some footballers wife’s and girlfriends too, as this novel is all great, exciting, mysterious, and could also be used as good advice on who to trust, who not to trust, and have faith in your man.
