Review of Pieces
By Hannah

Already a hit in his native Sweden, ‘Pieces’ is the first album to be released by electro-soul singer-songwriter Erik Hassle. The album is a welcome addition to the UK charts, and a change to the recent influx of female singer-songwriter popstrels in the charts at the moment.

His songs are full of lyrics about love, melodrama and regret. Standout track on the album is undeniably lead single ‘Hurtful’, the first to be released in the UK; it shows off Erik’s impressive voice and is full of drums and a soft electro background.

All tracks on the album are exciting and well produced, with the only duff track being ‘First Time’ which lyrically and vocally the weakest on the album, with lyrics like ‘Like a schoolboy sneaking out the window, this is how you make me feel’ it’s a bit simple and plain compared to other songs on the album. But with only one bad track on the album, the guy described as a possible ‘New, Young Robbie’ is bound to be destined for success in the UK.
