Apply to be a London Spinebreakers Editor

If you live in London and have a passion for books, reading, writing, drawing, filming – anything creative – and you like this site, you can apply to become a Spinebreaker.

We need young people living in London to join our fantastic group of site Editors.

What’s in it for you?
You get the power. You decide which books, content and authors get featured on Spinebreakers. Every month we meet at the Penguin offices on The Strand and have the upcoming titles ‘pitched’ to us so we can decide which titles to feature (or not!) On top of this you will get free books so you need to love reading books, be committed to creating new and exciting content for the website and be able to attend our meetings once a month.

You’ll get the opportunity to go to events, interviews, festivals and it’ll look great on your CV. If this sounds like something you can do, Spinebreakers wants you to join the team.

Who can apply?

Anyone between the ages of 13 - 18.

How do I apply?

In order to apply, we want you to show us what you can do.

1) Send us your favourite piece of writing you’ve done – it could be a short story, book review, poem or feature about one of the books on this website.

2) Tell us in 100 words or less why you would like to be a Spinebreaker

Send your entry by email to jointheteam@spinebreakers.co.uk
