We challenged young people to design a poster to show us which hero deserved a place on their bedroom wall.

To get the creative juices flowing and to provide inspiration to entrants, Penguin teamed up with seven cutting- edge designers (their work right) including eboy, Maya Wild and Peter Stitson to create posters of the heroes and heroines who appeared on their bedroom walls when they were teenagers. From ACDC and The Fonz to M C Hammer, these bedroom poster heroes are the sex symbols, pop idols, fashion icons, rock gods, thinkers, leaders, rebels that influence the way each generation of young people behaves and grows.

The finalists and winner will have their posters exhibited at London’s Design Museum alongside the work of our celebrated designers from the end of October.
